Evaluación de la propensión a la psicosis con el ESQUIZO-Q

Zusammenfassung

La esquizotipia, también conocida como propensión a la psicosis, es una variable íntimamente relacionada con la esquizofrenia. Su interés y estudio residen básicamente en su capacidad para identificar personas con un perfil de riesgo o vulnerabilidad a la psicosis y, consecuentemente, en la posibilidad de llevar a cabo una detección temprana e intervención precoz de los trastornos psicóticos mediante tratamientos profilácticos. Lógicamente, la detección de este tipo de individuos "de riesgo" pasa por disponer de adecuados instrumentos de medida que nos permitan tomar decisiones sólidas y fundadas a partir del su pefil de puntuaciones. Hasta el momento, no existía un instrumento de medida específicamente diseñado para la valoración de este constructo en población adolescente hispanohablante. El principal objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar el proceso de construcción y validación de un nuevo autoinforme denominado ESQUIZO-Q: Cuestionario Oviedo para la Evaluación de la Esquizotipia. Los resultados muestran que el ESQUIZO-Q es un instrumento de medida breve, sencillo y con adecuadas propiedades psicométricas para la evaluación de la esquizotipia, y que puede ser utilizado como herramienta epidemiológica y método de screening psicopatológico en población general adolescente. Futuras investigaciones deberían seguir profundizando en la calidad métrica del ESQUIZO-Q (p.ej., su sensibilidad y especificidad), así como analizar su relación con los endofenotípos en otro tipo de muestras.
