Edición crítica del salterio del manuscrito I.I.4 de El Escorial

Resum

El presente trabajo es una edición crítica de la traducción castellana del Salterio contenido en el manuscrito I.i.4 de la Biblioteca del Monasterio del Escorial (s. XV). La edición presenta el texto crítico castellano con abundantes anotaciones en paralelo con el texto latino del que proviene. A su vez el texto latino va acompañado de un exhaustivo aparato crítico de variantes que permite acercarnos al prototipo empleado por el traductor y explicar lecturas del texto castellano. La edición elimina la variación gráfica superflua para ofrecer un texto depurado de errores que facilita su comprensión y su estudio lingüistico. El estudio incluye además un análisis crítico de varias cuestiones relevantes en el contexto de la historia de las biblias medievales romanceadas: descripción codicológica, relaciones con otras versiones, análisis de fuentes. Hay asimismo un detallado estudio lingüistico con especial atención a cuestiones relativas al léxico. The present work is a critical edition of the Spanish translation of the Psalter contained in the manuscript I.i.4 of the Library of the Escorial Monastery (15th century). The Castilian critical edition presents the text with abundant notes in parallel with the Latin text from which it derives. In turn, the Latin text is accompanied by a comprehensive critical apparatus that records those variants tha bring us closer to the prototype used by the translator and explains numerous readings in the Castilian text. The edition eliminates superfluous graphical variation to provide a refined text that facilitates its understanding and its linguistic study. The study also includes a critical analysis of several relevant issues in the context of the history of the medieval translation of the Bible into Old Spanish: codicological description, relations with other versions, source analysis. There is also a detailed linguistic study with special attention to lexical matters.
