Resumen

The objective here is to show that ESP courses are made to satisfy the specific needs of the students. Before determining the required target performance we have to carry out the needs analysis of the students by making them fill in the questionnaries designed for that purpose. At the same time we have to bear in mind the learner's characteristics in order to decide the appropriate course content, syllabus type and the materials to be used. All the factors mentioned above will therefore determine the methodology and the assessment to be adopted. We feel that fedback is essential to attain the goal previously set.
