Abstract

In this study we analyze the rhetorical function of the artificial memory and of the politician emblematic in the Primer nueva corónica i buen gobierno by Guamán Poma of Ayala (1615-1616), its persuasive, politician and eminently Americanist pretension, product of the merger of two visions cultural: the preexisting Andean one and the Spanish sudden coming. In this context, we will centre on the figure of the colonial civil servant as instrument verbal and visual for the denunciation of the Spanish disasters on the Viceroyalty of Peru.
