Equal access for people with disabilities as teaching and research staff is far from being a reality in our university system. In order to compensate for the structural difficulties of this group in the teaching function, the regulations regulate some affirmative action measures, among which the reserve quota of places for people with disabilities stands out. The aim of this paper is to analyse the implementation of the reserve quota in favour of Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) with disabilities in the Public Employment Offers (OEP) approved by public universities from 2017 to 2019. The results confirm that, despite having sufficient legislative support, the universities are not applying this measure, thus failing to comply with a mandatory regulation. It concludes with a series of recommendations to public universities to strengthen their commitment to the inclusion of teaching and research staff with disabilities.
