Abstract
Primary objective: Acertain the nursing evolution, the importance of social support at work and and the labor transitions in the story of a retired nurse. Methods: Qualitative biographical study, obtained by a semi-structured interview. Main results: The story revealed the importance of companionship, involvement, and empathy in the development of the nursing profession. Conclusions: Values such as social support significantly contribute to professional development and laboral satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of guiding new enerations in the evolution of the profession.
