Resum

In this thesis we make a theoretical route for the concepts of schizophrenia and Theory of Mind and the existing representative jobs, studying the effect on ToM in people suffering from this disease. Later empirically, we study how schizophrenia affects the performance of subjects in different tasks measuring theory of mind (ToM), comparing with normal population. In addition, more specifically analyze whether there are differences in this affectation as the diagnosis of people, predominant symptoms, hospital stay, evolution of disease, sex, educational level and residence. The data obtained show differences between subjects with schizophrenia and normal populations in performance on these tasks. Similarly, there are some differences between subjects with schizophrenia according to the variables listed above. The results found in tune go with those obtained by other authors that ToM deficits arise as a specific feature of schizophrenia.
