Resumen

La relevancia del riesgo político en la localización en el exterior de las empresas multinacionales españolas y si su importancia varía en función del área geográfica donde pretenda implantarse constituyen los objetivos del presente estudio. Concretamente, se analizan las libertades económicas, la corrupción y las restricciones a las que se ve sometido el Gobierno del país de destino, empleando una muestra de 1.773 filiales de empresas multinacionales españolas repartidas por todo el mundo. Los resultados evidencian importantes divergencias en las variables que resultan significativas para influenciar la localización de una filial en cada región
