Abstract
From the consideration of the relatíonship art and popular devotions, in this article we analyse the changes experienced by the sanctuary of St. Casilda in La Bureba (Burgos) during the 18th Century with a clear orientation to the Baroque. For this purpose, we present new documentary evidences that support the existence of an open dialogue between architecture and landscape. This open dialogue creates an artistic ensemble with marked individuality through the integration of very different artistic expressions.
