Zusammenfassung

This article analyzes the work developed by the research group PROTEO (devoted to the edition and study of Agustín Moreto).The article studies the author and his work within the context of the dramatic movements of his time. In addition, it offers an analysis of the current state of scholarship on the author and of the advantages and disadvantages of digital vs. printed scholarship. The intention is to place Moreto’s work within a broad system of networks, to reflect on the best ways to introduce this author to contemporary audiences and to reflect on the difficulties inherent to a project like Proteo.
