Abstract
The families with chronically ill children do not only comply with the functions related to the illness but with the additional needs brought by her. The family besides contributing in the emotional and physical health of his members can be potential victim of the effects of the illness, for which should be helped. Our assignment in this article is not to examine all the situations that can originate the illness in a child, but to reflect the relation among family and illness, accepting the challenge that supposes to improve the quality of life of the families with an ill member.
