El Sistema Atapuerca de Burgosun buen ejemplo de comunicación del patrimonio y divulgación científica

Abstract

In the past few years, there is a growing concern among researchers, technicians and profes­sional staff devoted to the heritage management, in relation to the always pending matter of heritage vulgarisation and communication. We are very much aware of the enormous effort invested by some of them in order to be able to pass their message over to such a heterogeneous audience interested in the heritage. We also know that, given the relatively low level of their knowledge on the matters exposed, they need so me sort of translation to a more accessible language that should not imply a reduction of the scientific accuracy. We have chosen the example of the System of Atapuerca, because we believe that the professionals working on it have been able to spread the magnitude of this site in a masterful manner. In this article, we focus on the different ways chosen to disseminate the scientific knowledge, the communication of the Museum on Human Evolution, and the spreading of the news related to the System of Atapuerca. It is true that it can be found somehow complex, but we have chosen it because we are convinced that it is really bringing about very interesting results.
