The Neolithic assemblages from the province of Burgos belong to the formerly so-called �Cultura Central� or �Cultura de las Cuevas�, later known as �Neolítico Interior�, and they have always remained in the background, being interpreted through traditional models and staying out of the debate deriving from the various currents that were trying to explain the appearance and onset of the Neolithic in the Iberian Peninsula.
