La radio pública no refleja la realidad territorial

Abstract

The local and autonomous contents that offer in the public state radio are selected on the basis of contents of informative im pact and do not reflect the social, cultural and economic reality of the different territories. The study "The information of proximity in the public state radio" on Radio 5 TN, in that more than 13.000 information has been analyzed in the year 2007 and 2009, evidence that this public chain has suppressed the spaces of proximity (local and autonomous), it has centralized the information, deals with the autonomous capitals, and does not pay attention to the rest of provinces. It offers, with the information that it issues, an image of the different Spanish territories based on the events, courts and politics, without presence of information about culture, education, company ... With it it breaks the Law of the Radio and Television of State Ownership and the Mandate I mark that he entrusts " ... to offe r contents destined to satisfy needs of information, culture, education and entertainment ..., reflecting his identity and cultural diversity ". Radio 5 TN, it centres his attention on five communities (Andalusia, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Madrid and Basque Country) and six capitals (Barcelona, Guipuzcoa, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Biscay) and breaks the Law of the Radio and Television of State Ownership, which he entrusts to this public wireless service" ... to use as element of social cohesion and vertebración territorial". 50% of the information of the different provinces and autonomous communities that offer are Events or Courts and 87 % of the local and autonomous information are issued from the central services and not in connection with the places where the facts have taken place.
