Abstract

Bilingualism in the school education has increased exponentially in the last decade, being physical education (PE) one of the subjects most taught in English. The objective of the present study is to analyze the perception of the students on the implementation of bilingual programs and the use of the methodological strategies for the leaming of the subject. The participants were 123 students of courses of 1st and 4th ESO from a high school in the rural environment. It has been used a qualitative methodology, using three data collection instruments; interviews with the teachers, daily collection of sessions and panel discussion with students. Teachers assume the potential that has the PE to be taught in English, highlighting the CLIL as most useful didactic methodology. lt requires further research in the area to search protocols based on successful experiences.
