Abstract

One aspect that has conditioned the implementation of this article has been the influence on stress in combining family and work loads and their direct in the world of work and family consequences. In this study, we have exposed important variables affecting the stress within the family and child care, elderly care and performing household chores. On the other hand, and directly with the labor market so, it has been found that the pace of work by itself, affects stress and even more so in combination with family responsibilities such as caring for children, caring for elderly and performing household chores. With regard to labor costs, the study says that although other variables are referred to in this field as the number of hours worked per week or working to tight deadlines, the variable pace of work is the most influential on the likelihood of high stress levels, alone and in combination with family responsibilities. The results show that the combination of these variables can generate high levels of stress that will impact both the workplace and the family. Perform sensitivity studies of the most unfavorable combinations of variables, in this sense, will allow direct control stress levels experienced by people in the family and at work. Thus, it may act on these variables, both household (aged care, child care and performing household chores) and labor (work rate) for reducing as far as possible the likelihood of experiencing high levels of stress.
