Resumen

The Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Burgos (UBU) launched, in 2016, a television program of scientific dissemination at La 8 Burgos, and in the channel La 7 Castile and León, regional area. The program called "Cien & Cía" has a primary mission is the dissemination of scientific research carried out at the University of Burgos and promote research vocations among the young. The strategy of diffusion of this program that is maintained during this year 2017, is not only the television broadcast but also the promotion of its contents in Youtube through the channel of La 8 Burgos and of TVUBU, television of the University of Burgos, but also through information located in other social networks like Facebook and Twitter. This multichannel broadcast has favored a greater knowledge not only of scientific research, one of the objectives of this program, but also of the television product as such. Not only the television broadcast has received support from the audience; social network audiences have also followed the broadcasts of each of the programs and actively commented on the content. This shows that scientific content has a target audience on television, and multichannel broadcasting is a good complementary strategy for broadcasting television content.
