Els efectes del suport social en els alumnes de la Universitat Oberta per a majors

Résumé

The topic of this study is social support for seniors, specifically how being a student in a University Programme for Seniors (UPS) affects one’s social network and social support. The study focuses on the Senior Diploma and Advanced Senior Diploma in the Open University of Balearic Islands (UIB). The study’s objective is to take a solid step in order to examine this topic in more depth if the positive effectes of the UPS no seniors’ social networks and social supports is demonstrated, then research could be conducted on the group with the best kind involvements or on how this programme could help seniors who experience strong feelings of loneliness, have lost a number of major relationshis or enjoy few interactions in the processes of their social support.
