Abstract

In 1599 the Archbishop of Burgos Cristóbal Vela de Acuña, donated his collection to the Cathedral of Burgos of the virtues-themed Flemish tapestries. With Michiel Coxcie cartons woven by Frans Geubels, this series was very valued by the Council Cathedral, who will decide to have these cloths during the winter in the Chapterhouse, creating an upholstered camera that stays with the image until the beginning of the century 21st, when the former capitulary library turns into Museum of Flemish painting.
