El impacto del COVID-19 en la Cooperación Judicial Europea

The COVID-19 health crisis has undoubtedly led to a judicial emergency unparalleled to date, which has been widely seen from a national perspective. However, the presence of the coronavirus has also had a significant influence at the European level, also within its judicial policy. Thus, this paper aims to analyse the impact and/or influence of the COVID-19 health crisis on European judicial cooperation, especially in criminal matters. To this end, a general overview of this influence on judicial cooperation will be provided, based on the actions taken by the European institutions and bodies, and then examine their actions in a specific area where their impact has been most notable, specifically in the application of the European arrest warrant by the judicial authorities of the various Member States.
