Abstract

The entrepreneurial activity rate (EAT) has great differences in terms of gender issues. Women have traditionally been less likely than men to develop entrepreneurial intent. The university represents a breeding ground of potential entrepreneurs. The objective of this work is to explore the gender gap in the orientation towards entrepreneurial intent among university students of an efficient economy such as Ecuador. The EAT of these types of countries is usually quite high and the gender gap narrow. This research objective is analyzed through different hypotheses associated with the moderating role of gender in university entrepreneurship. A quantitative analysis is carried out on a sample of students from the University of Casa Grande in Ecuador, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior.
