Abstract

In the context of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), where the independent work of the student is promoted, it is necessary to develop a range of skills and related search, evaluation, management, use and dissemination of information skills. These skills are in line with the criteria indicating the UNESCO (2008, 2013) within the international framework of information literacy. The information skills are developed at present together with digital, so that we can speak of informational and technological literacy (AIT), it constitutes a basic, cross competition at any level of knowledge. At the University of Burgos, the Teaching Innovation Group "Learning and Research" presented in 2013 an innovation project that was selected in the call and has the following objectives: To assess the initial level of skills in AIT freshmen year of the degrees of Master of Elementary Education and Teaching; designing educational guides of 4 subjects attending AIT skills; develop courses designed in accordance with; develop training materials, activities and assessment tools and adapt AIT skills applied in other international fora; assess the impact of skills training in AIT integrated subjects of the degree. We report here the results obtained during the first year of the two comprising the project.
