Abstract

This doctoral thesis develops modelling of the users’ behaviours through data obtained from surveys of stated and revealed preferences. For the development of modelling methodologies based on data of stated preferences, new strategies for data collection have been developed that allow for the consideration of the availability of each parking alternative in the different areas of cities. Consequently, this methodology has enabled the creation of scenarios according to the characteristics of the trip, the type of user and the residence of the user. Moreover, the methodology carried out for the process of data collection has allowed the development of models aggregated for all users and models disaggregated by type of users. Furthermore, discrete choice models have been developed from data obtained through revealed surveys of preference that consider both spatial correlations by location and alternatives available in each area. It is evident that the type of neighbourhood of the spatial choice depends on the current behaviour of the users.
