Zusammenfassung
Public procurement offers numerous opportunities to support long-term sustainable growth by promoting environmental and social benefits in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The present study focuses on Goal no. 12 that advocates sustainable consumption and production patterns. This article analyzes how to use public procurement practices to promote responsible consumption (Target 12.7). The methodology adopted in this study is based on the analysis of the existing literature on this topic and its relationship to EU initiatives that promote specific measures to face the challenges to be met in order to achieve this Goal by 2030.
