Abstract

4-Alkyl-, 4-alkenyl- and 4-alkoxyalkyl-3,5-dimethylisoxazoles present identical or comparable fragmentation processes, upon electron impact. 4- (1-Phenyl)alkyl- and 4-(1-phenyl)alkoxymethyl-3,5-dimethylisoxazoles as well as 3,5-dimethylisoxawl-4-yl-acetonitrile reveal different fragmentation patterns, due in each case, to the 4-substituent of the isoxazole ring.
