Resumen

Archaeological heritage and archaeology appear as an occasional element in the Spanish educationsystem and its teaching is usually confined to museological or higher education spaces. Moreover, theuse of archaeology in the classroom is centred on excursions or workshops promoted by archaeological sites, despite the use that could be made of the vast heritage of the Community of Castilla y León.The study we present here was carried out with a group of secondary school teachers who attendeda training workshop on the Colonia Clunia Sulpicia. The aim of this quantitative research is to find outthe perceptions that these teachers have of the use of archaeology, and of the heritage of Clunia inparticular, as a teaching resource. The results show a great interest in the activities and proposalsmade by the sites, as well as a positive assessment of archaeological heritage as a teaching material. On the other hand, the teachers expressed the problem of continuing education or the inclusion ofarchaeological contents in the new curricula.
