Abstract

The educational processes in Colombia, like the rest of the world, have undergone transformations and the training of jurists is not unrelated to this change. This work aims to critically analyze and determine the limits of the legal training model offered by Higher Education Institutions in Colombia [HEIC]. The HEIC has attempted to develop through the implementation of innovative public policies that try to help ensure future jurists face the demands required by professionals in this new phase of globalized capitalism. Thus, through the collection and normative and legislative analysis of the training of jurists, the number of law programs and study plans; it will be possible to have a broad overview of the elements that intervene in the educational process. However, little has changed since the formation of the republic in the way the training process of jurists in the country will be established. In this process, economic, social and political factors are also determining factors that hinder an ideal training process, and in the same way have repercussions in a judicial system that faces problems that are clearly visible in the country.
