Abstract

This abstract introduces a research paper which ultimately aims to present and evaluate the design and implementation of an intervention with three different students, using the case study method. The investigation intends to determine the success of their academic and formative education, as a protection factor for their social reintegration. This thesis proposal arises as a result of the need to make public a topic that has not been investigated and has little positive visibility: successful educational processes with juvenile offenders. The research scenario is the formal educational program carried out by a team from the secondary school which forms part of the juvenile justice centers for minors in the Balearic Islands. Through continuous efforts to provide educational, social and emotional tools and also contextual work, this team seeks to reintegrate minors/young offenders who are serving a sentence of detention into their educational and social natural context. It is a qualitative study of three different cases, which not only yields interesting results and reflections, but also demonstrates the hypotheses raised.
