Abstract

The objective of this paper is to build an overview of the professional profile of researchers who are awarded with the research productivity grant level 2 (PQ-2) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) working in the area of Geography. To this end, a survey of data was carried out in the researchers' lattes curricula, which aimed to collect information about elements such as institutional location, place and period of the doctorate, participation in research groups, number of papers, books and book chapters published accompanied by their temporalities, as well as the number of individual publications, in co-authorship and in which languages, and, finally, the number of master's and doctoral orientations already completed. The reflections contained in the text focus on these elements.
