Doctor by the Universidad de Burgos with the thesis Enhancing intercultural communication competence in initial language teacher education a European proposal 2025. Supervised by Dr. María Amor Barros del Río.

BEATRIZ MEDIAVILLA-MARTINEZ is language teacher since 2020 and is currently the Project Manager of the EUropean Social Innovation and Democratic Education (EU-SIDE). She has worked as associate lecturer in language didactics at University of Burgos. She holds a PhD in Intercultural Competences in Initial Language Teacher Education and has published several articles in international journals and presented her work in conferences. She holds a degree in Teacher for Primary Education Teacher and a Master of Arts for Teaching English. She received a Collaboration Fellowship from the Universidad de Burgos within the frame of the Erasmus+ VIRTEACH project and has done a research visit at the University of Catania, Italy.
