Paula Antón Maraña holds a PhD in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Burgos, León, Salamanca and Valladolid, a degree in Business Administration and Management -Bilingual- (Special Award) from the University of Burgos, a Master's Degree in Business Intelligence and Big Data in Secure Environments (Special Award) from the University of Burgos, León and Valladolid and a Master's Degree in Teaching (Special Award) from the University of Burgos. She is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Burgos and her research focuses on the application of quantitative methods in the business and tourism fields and optimisation techniques in healthcare resource management. She is a member of the Burgos Tourism Observatory, the Teaching Innovation Group in Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business, and the RUN-EU Tourism Research Group.
