Abstract

The main objectives of this thesis were to describe ideas that students of the Polimodal educational level use to assign meanings to the concept of gravitational interaction and to design and implement a didactical proposal that incorporates such a concept as a linking principle of the physics contents studied at that school level. Initially, some diagnostic studies were carried out: (a) ideas of Polimodal students and college freshmen about the notion of interaction; (b) the place that the interaction topic occupies in the textbooks used by the students; (c) the physics teachers ideas about this topic. These diagnostic studies allowed the elaboration of a didactical strategy designed to help students in the development of assimilation schemes coherent with scientifically accepted models of gravitational interaction. The findings of the implementation of such a strategy with first year Polimodal students were satisfactory with respect to the objectives of the thesis
