Gender treatment has become today an unavoidable dimension to grapple with as regards the education of future citizens. Education, which has contributed to great extend to make us become aware of the need to have equal rights and opportunities between man and women, must carry on working and thinking even more deeply so as to make that equality a reality not only in theory but in practice as well. Teacher training plays a fundamental role from this perspective. In this paper we focus on some activities carried out with future teachers which are designed to make them aware of it, make them think about it, and make them take up a stance about the gender issues present in our society and the way to tackle them from an educational point of view.
