Abstract

In this paper maps of horizontal global solar radiation (GHI) in Castilla y León are calculated through interpolation methods using data measured at stations of the SIAR network (Agricultural Information System for Irrigation) and a series of ground stations of different regional and national bodies in the boundary layer. Data have been recorded between the years 2007-2013. As control points were considered the four stations from the network AEMET existing in the region. Four interpolation me- thods have been used in the work (IDW, Ordinary and Universal Kriging, Splines and Natural Neighbor). The results were analyzed using the standard statistical estimators.
