Résumé

Nowadays, one of the main concerns that the education institutions must face is how to tackle student smartphone addiction (SA). However, before developing strategies it is necessary to analyse the definition, causes and consequences as there is not a clear consensus about this topic, and research does not consider its multidisciplinary nature. In this paper, we revise main literature in different disciplines to propose a conceptual model of student SA causes and consequences and the theories that support that reasoning. 90 papers have been revised to achieve this goal. Only with a deep understanding of this problem, we will be able to face student SA.
