Resumen
Based on the most recent international research advances in the scientific field of heritage education and democratic education for active citizenship, this bilingual Spanish-English volume seeks to offer applicable theoretical and practical models for a transdisciplinary, integrated and sustainable development of STEAM education (STEM [science, technology, engineering and mathematics] + A [art]) in all pre-university educational stages. It does so by taking as a reference one of the most relevant cultural expressions of human heritage: the Burgos Cathedral (VIII Centenary - Burgos 2021). The main objectives of this monograph are the epistemological reflection and analysis of the potentialities and challenges of an Integrated Transdisciplinary Education in Specific Didactics, as well as its contribution to the understanding, intervention and resolution of contemporary social problems, and to the Sus-tainable Development Goals (2030 Agenda) from active citizenship, commitment, and social and patrimonial responsibility.
