Abstract

[EN]The Teaching Innovation Project known as TAAULA: El teatro áureo en el aula de Filología centres on the use of modern-day performances of Golden Age drama as a classroom tool for the acquisition of competency in the reading of Spanish plays. The present paper outlines the teaching methodology developed during the current academic year by four lecturers from the Faculty of Philology and implemented in two subjects on the undegraduate degree in Hispanic Philology which focus fully or partly on theatre. The authors covered in the project are canonical names from the Spanish Renaissance and Baroque: Juan del Encina, Lucas Fernández, Gil Vicente, Lope de Rueda, Juan de la Cueva, Juan de Vergara, Miguel de Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Calderón de la Barca and Tirso de Molina.
