Abstract

Jorge García López is the author of a new edition and study of Cervantes' Exemplary Novels, a book reviewed here. It analyzes the novels, the cataloging of "exemplary", the prologue of Cervantes and the entire trajectory that the work had in the literary tradition and history. Some controversial Cervantine texts are mentioned, as well as the case of La tía fingida, which was attributed to him for a long time. He has worked with the original versions to constitute a good study and analysis, which have been deeply developed for each of the stories.
