Efectos en el desarrollo de la expresión oral con la introducción de un video como elemento de apoyo en las clases de práctica oral de una lengua extranjera

Abstract
This article attempts to research whether using a video in a class of oral skills makes it easier for students to take part in a speaking activity. In order to do so, the influence of its use will be compared in two groups of students of the second year of the intermediate level of the studies provided by the Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas. These students will do an oral activity about a subject known to them and close to their everyday lives. The differences in students´ performance before and after watching the video are also considered. The results obtained seem to prove that by watching the video, the students find it easier to do the activity presented. Once they have watched the video, they participate in the task more actively and their performance is better grammatically speaking and it is perceived as more natural and fluent.
