Resum

ABSTRACT This thesis combines History, Architecture and Technology on drones, also known as RPAS (Remotely Aircarft Pilot System). The commitment to a technological revolution within the university to the field where the drones are the future in the inspection, maintenance in architectural rehabilitation is the essence of this study. The industry is evolving drones unstoppable, both for prototyping and for its management. This technology could be applied in both Architecture and Engineering. The fact of Reducing the economic costs and the actual knowledge of the physical condition of our buildings and infrastructure, observing and investigating the origin of the initial conditions, could generate new forms of employment. The thesis is developed in two main sections, a theoretical framework legislation, applied technology and history of the case study of the Church of the Merced and later an experimental framework where an exhaustive study of the procedure is to be taken for a flight with drone / RPAS, with thermographic and photogrammetric technology, knowing all its articles and security. This study may be the beginning of a new way to inspect and maintain our historic buildings drone / RPAS within the Architectural Heritage. Definitely, we hope to contribute with this work firstly, to the use and application of drones in the Cultural Heritage and second, and most important, to stir up educational changes that must take place in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) where these instruments can serve in the future technical knowledge to create specialists in this area within the university.
