Abstract

Adolescence is a phase of life in which the confluence of physiological changes is given and those that lead to emotional and social maturation. All of them are so essential that they are going to mark a turning point in the development of the individual to life adult. During this stage, is going to happen a fact of considerable importance: growth. Thanks to this, in the body of the teenager happen changes in morphophysiology that depend on genetic and environmental factors such as nutrition. Studying the morphological changes that occur in the stage known as the pubertal growth spurt, along with their own anatomical changes of this period themselves, they can be the tool to analyze how eating habits affect the morphophysiology. Therefore, it is essential to carry out a proper assessment of nutritional status in order to establish food and nutrition guidelines necessary for an adequate quality of life. This study is also intended to carry out an early, systematic and efficient nutritional intervention.
