Abstract
Background: Learning’s self-reflection and self-regulation improve student’s self-control to learning. Method: This study enrolled 80 engineering mechanical´ students. The objectives were 1) To study if will be relation between use to motivation and metacognitive strategies in students that they were instructed to a self-regulated methodology vs. traditional instruction 2) To) to study if will be relation between knowledge self-perception in students that they were instructed to a self-regulated methodology vs. traditional instruction. Results: We found relation self-regulated methodology and self-planning strategies and Elasticity and Strength of Materials knowledge self-perception in experimental group but it not found in control group. Conclusions: Future research will be guide to improve practice experiences and following formative assessment procedures.
